Work With Island designs and manufactures soundproof cabins for new workspaces. Having worked in shared spaces, we understand their limitations: few places to isolate oneself and meeting rooms often monopolized. It is to provide this moment of serenity and productivity that Work With Island was born. We produce in France using recycled and recyclable materials, cabins for 1 to 4 people that can be set up in less than 30 minutes.

Work side by side with our Head of Finance, gaining real-world experience in financial strategy and decision-making. It’s a great chance to collaborate with a senior leader, contribute to exciting projects, and grow your skills in a fun, fast-paced environment.

🎯 Main responsabilities: 

1. Daily Accounting Support:
- Track customer and supplier invoices.
- Assist in managing payments and collections.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of budgets and reforecasts.
- Help prepare financial forecasts.
- Analyze variances between budgeted and actual results.

3. Financial Analysis:
- Assist in analyzing financial statements to identify trends and key areas of focus.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for management.
- Participate in the evaluation of financial performance indicators (KPIs).

4. Cash Management:
- Support daily cash flow management and cash flow forecasting.
- Contribute to liquidity optimization and working capital management.

5. Support in Financial Partner Relations:
- Assist in preparing documentation for banks, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings with financial partners and take meeting notes.

6. Compliance and Audit:
- Assist in preparing for internal or external audits.
- Ensure the company complies with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

7. Finance Skill Development:
- Encourage continuous learning in corporate finance, accounting, and financial analysis.
- Provide regular feedback to help the intern improve their skills and understanding of financial processes.

Alexandre joined WWI in February 2024 as Head of Finance.

💡Do you recognize yourself in this?

• Master's degree in Finance, with knowledge of accounting and financial analysis ;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Fluent in English and French (both written and spoken)
• Excellent analytical skills with experience in preparing financial reports, managing accounting tasks, monitoring annual budgets, and financial forecasting
• Ability to process and structure financial data efficiently
• Business-oriented mindset with high integrity
